VILAS COUNTY TRAILS REMAIN CLOSED AT THIS TIME
We received 4-5” of fresh snow Tuesday night. There is more in the forecast for tonight and again Sunday. We have panned in the recent snow and inspected the trails. Once all 11 clubs vote on a date to reopen, we will post it to social media and I’ll update this post.
We will probably not open the cemetery trail from Pioneer Lake north to Muskrat Creek Rd. There is a swamp in there that has probably opened up and all of this trail is on private land. Pioneer lake no longer has barrels marking it, nor does Buckatabon Lake from Bauers Dam to Deer Path Resort. North Twin Lake is still marked, stay by the barrels when crossing.
