Trail Conditions: Early Season
Snow Cover: 4 to 5 inches in most areas
Date of Report: January 14, 2019
We had a great weekend. Lot of people riding. Great to see you all out there. Most people were surprised at how good the trails actually were. Its that good flat ice base that is basically keeping everything smooth. We were able to put on over 250 miles throughout the weekend…leaving from Crooked Lake. Conditions really have not changed. Trails north of Hwy C and western part of the system and down toward Crooked Lake seem to have the most snow on them. The mid section in the Twin Bridge Area, still has a hard snow base also. There is less snow, but it is rideable. The Newton Lake area remains the same with good riding there. The southeastern corner has the least amount of snow. There is a plowed field there, so not much can be done with it. The groomers were all out yesterday again throughout the entire trail system. Just an effort to make the trails nice with almost nothing to work with.
WE NEED SNOW!!!
