SNO-EAGLES TRAILS OPEN!
Trails Very Good to Excellent

February 13 2019 7:10am – 13 – High 26

We got SNOW yesterday!  SNOWED heavy all day starting early! From a foot to 15 inches! Some of it heavy wet stuff which was earlier.  As the day went on it got drier.  But wow there is SNOW!

As for the trails.  Groomers have their work cut out for them.  When this much SNOW falls it takes time to get it all worked & smooth.  Give them a thumbs up when you see them.  Stop & let them signal you when to pass. They are heavy & have a difficult time if they go off trail.  If we go off trail they can pull us out.

Expect to be pushing SNOW on lots of the trails.  Low hanging branches.  Many were ice covered & with new SNOW there will be areas that could be hard to get through.  Riding yesterday there were a lot of branches on Trail 10E.

Heading into some great riding temps.  Today 26. Thursday 29.  Friday 15. Saturday 21. Forecast for single digits at night maybe a 1 or 2 below. Great riding weather.

EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Stay by the reflective orange barrels.  There was wind Sunday evening so there could be some moguls.  Be safe & slow down.

Been mentioning this all season:

Sno-Eagles Country has 2 areas that have one-way trails.  10E is a one-way trail from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart.  The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area.  Clearly marked with DO NOT ENTER signs.  Plus trail signs are backwards if you are going the wrong way.

On a sledding trip today in Florence.  Rode from Eagle River in the SNOW yesterday.  Breaking trail for a lot of the trip.  Today into the UP & then back to Florence.  Heading home tomorrow.  Report on the ride when I get home!

Thanks for THINKING SNOW!!!  Are you riding?  If not why?

See ya on the trails!
