SNOWMOBILE TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER
Good to Very Good
New SNOW

Fresh new SNOW moved into the area last night.  SNOW showers continue.  Currently there is 3 inches +- 6 miles east of Eagle River.  Have reached the high for today with temps continuing to drop throughout the day.  Low of 2 below tonight.  Cold will continue until Friday. Tomorrow high of 12 & low of 7 below.  Wednesday high of 17 & low of 3.  So….yep WINTER continues.

Groomer Tracking Systems (GTS Trails) reports in the last 24 hours no grooming of the Eagle River trail system.  This after nearly full grooming Sunday night.

Sled traffic has slowed from the extremely busy President’s weekend.  Making mid week riding a great idea. With the NEW SNOW trails are in great condition. 20 inches +- on the trails in total.  Riding in the area found GOOD to VERY GOOD conditions with areas of EXCELLENT.  Trail 10E & the 13’s in the Buckatabon/Bauer’s Dam area are 2 EXCELLENT trails. No problem areas to report at all.  The cold temps have kept the swamp sections of the trails frozen. With regular grooming these areas have smoothed out from where they were earlier this winter.  COLD over the next 2 days will keep everything in shape.

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked.  Can’t confirm myself but no reports of surface slush.  Eagle Lake a little chop but nothing bad.  Icy with blow off of snow in some sections.  Please slow down.  Remember not all lakes are safe.  Check maps & looks for markers.  If you don’t see any the lake is not safe.

Last be sure to stay on the right side when riding. Straight aways, corner & hills.

KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!

See you on the trails!
