EAGLE RIVERS  TRAILS OPEN!
Trails Very Good to Excellent!

February 21 2019 8:04am – 22 – High 27

Over 5 inches of new SNOW yesterday!  No grooming over night but after the groomers go out the trails will be in really great shape.  More SNOW coming Saturday night into Sunday.  Looks like a ton!

Over the past days volunteers from the Sno-Eagles Club have been out clearing leaning & downed trees and brush on the trails to make them safe.  The ice storm followed by the heavy SNOW really made a mess on some trails.  A big thank you to them.

More SNOW means even higher snowbanks at driveway crossing & road crossings.  Please when you see the yield driveway ahead sign slow down & take the time to look both ways.  At the road crossings there are stop signs & please stop.  It is nearly impossible to see vehicles coming.  Have seen a few sled & vehicle accidents this season not good.

SNOW is new & on the wet side so riding be aggressive. Meaning if you pick the speed you will slip/slide around & back of sled might squirrel around or dart.  Slow down to be safe.  REMEMBER THE DUSK TO DAWN SPEED LIMIT IS 55MPH EVERYWHERE.  Lake & Land Trails.  It’s going up to 27 today so it might be slushy at the road crossings.  Otherwise have FUN!

EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Stay by the reflective orange barrels.  Lots of SNOW on the lakes so there could be some moguls.  Be safe & slow down.

Been mentioning this all season:

Sno-Eagles Country has 2 areas that have one-way trails.  10E is a one-way trail from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart.  The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area.  Clearly marked with DO NOT ENTER signs.  Plus trail signs are backwards if you are going the wrong way.

Remember mid week riding is the best!  Time to ride!

See ya on the trails!
