Snow Cover: 12 inches new SNOW on thick frozen base

February 23, 2023 6:49am – 13 degrees  – High 19

SNO-EAGLES
EAGLE RIVER TRAILS
8 inches new SNOW over night


12 inches new SNOW since Monday with 4-6 more inches today The trails are SNOW covered with slippery ice underneath.  Making for dangerous conditions.  If your riding SLOW DOWN & RIDE RIGHT.  Eagle River & all of Vilas County is under a Winter Storm Warning until 6pm  Looks like SNOW will end around 3pm this afternoon.

Teens for high today until Saturday. Then 20’s.  Cold at night. Single digits & teens. SNOW off & on this coming week.

Grooming started with panning of Trail 17N. Parts of 10/13 both north & south. Alt 13S to Three Lakes connect.  More panning & grooming today & tonight..

 

Eagle & Catfish Lake trails are still marked.  Drifting deep SNOW. Very icy under the new SNOW. Surface is very hard thick ice.
