TRAILS IN GOOD CONDITION
Plenty of new SNOW

Plenty of SNOW in Eagle River!  Easy 9 inches of SNOW in the last few days. Wet packy snow.  17 degrees at 8:00am which is great but the evil sun is out.  Not so good.  High of 41 today.  Another not so good.  It’s ride when we got it time of the season. Time to ride, ride, ride right now.

Trails groomed last night are:

  • In town trails
  • 70W/13
  • 17S to Sugar Camp turn around
  • 7 aka Paintball Field
  • 10W/13N to include Wisconsin River Bridge
  • 3 aka Manske Swamp
  • 17N.

Under the new SNOW is an icy base so be aware.  Also on the weekends the traffic is high.  Stay on your side all the time as you ride.  Last, at road crossings stop & look both ways.  The snowbanks are high and there may be areas where the trail is plowed shut at the crossings.  Riders that rode last night report blown out corners with a mix of excellent to fair riding.  As it warms up today it will get mushy out there and conditions will degrade.

Trail 1N logging operation continues in the section between the Town of Washington Town Hall & Eagle Lake. With the log piles and icy grainy conditions in that section it would be good to slow down. Minimal grooming due to the logging operation.

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trails are marked with orange easy to see reflective barrels.  Please stay by the barrels to be safe.  Spoke to several riders this morning & no surface slush to report.  Reminder that the Catfish Lake Trail that ran from Braywood to Lumpy’s is not open.  Please do not trespass on private land.

Holy moly!  Keep Dancin!
See ya on the trails!
