SNOW MOVING IN THURSDAY

Warm spell continues in Eagle River but it SNOW will be moving in on Thursday.  First there will be sleet turning into SNOW.  Forecast is for 3-4 inches of new SNOW.  The best riding is north out of Eagle River & in the woods.

With the warm up grooming has halted for now.  Saving the base.

Here are some updates on the trails:

  • Trail 1N has a logging operation in the section between the Town of Washington Town Hall & Eagle Lake.
  • Wisconsin River Trail – 10W/13N is now being groomed off & on it is icy and rough in spots.  No surface slush reported.
  • Same for Manske Swamp – 3N. Both were groomed last night.  No surface slush reported.  With this few day warm up slush may develop.  So be aware of that.

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trails are now both marked and officially open.  Please stay by the barrels to be safe.  Reminder the Catfish Lake Loop to Lumpy’s is NO LONGER a trail.  No surface slush right now but the warm up could cause some slush.

If you are riding zip on over to the “grade” to check out the 2018 Eagle River Area Fire Department ICE CASTLE!!!!  Located adjacent to the downtown “grade” trail by the Historic Railroad Grade.  The lights installed change colors.  Check out this link Eagle River Ice Castle to check out more photos.  Darn pretty!

No Wednesday Ride today.  There will be a ride on Thursday this week.

Keep Dancin Really Hard!  The trails really need more SNOW!

See ya on the trails!
