Snow Cover: Thin & crusty frozen in most areas. 1-6 inches
Date of Report: January 12, 2021
Area Report:

January 12  – 6:15am 27 degrees  – High of 30 today – Low tonight of 21

Trails are in on average Poor to Fair Early Riding Condition

Temps have popped up to 30’s during the day. Next 3 days overnight temps in the 20’s. After that will drop into the low teens & single digits.  SNOW forecast for Thursday.  Weatherunderground forecasting 4.2 inches of SNOW.  Another 1 or 2 on Friday.

Until Thursday there is little of no change in the Eagle River trails that remain in Early Riding Condition with conditions at Poor to Fair. Hard frozen ground covered with an ice base in most areas. Crusty frozen snow. Lots of snirt. Choppy conditions. The ROW trails have a bit more snow but everywhere there is plenty of snirt & dirt. Especially at road crossings.

Grooming in Eagle River has been halted until there is SNOW.  Let’s hope that is Thursday.

Catfish & Eagle have been marked by businesses on the lake. This includes the spur to Eagle Waters. Stay by the markers to be safe.  Some surface slush on Catfish.  All are SNOW covered.

KEEP THINKING COLD & DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!
