EAGLE RIVER TRAILS
Remain CLOSED
The Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance meeting Wednesday evening, January 18. All 11 Clubs discussed the potential of opening the trails. The vote was NOT to open the trails at this time. Below is the PSA forwarded by the Parks and Rec Supervisor following the meeting
In the meantime the Eagle River Sno-Eagles are panning land trails and packing any remaining wet, soft areas. The Wisconsin River section of 10W/13N is still not safe to ride. At present the gates to that area are shut. The rest of the trails are frozen with a few small mushy spots. Saw some a week ago on 13/17S along Hwy 17S a week ago which pretty are now frozen as it has been very cold.
There have been re routes and closures of trails. When trails are ready to open I will list the changes
