Sno-Eagles Snowmobile Trail Report
Adventure Sledding time of the year
Varying conditions – Late season conditions

Happy to report that is it SNOWING east of Eagle River this morning!  Fine heavy SNOW! Weatherunderground.com forecasts 1-3 inches.  High today 35 with a low of 15 tonight.

The Groomer Tracking System(GTS) reports the following trails were groomed in the last 24 hours:

  • Trail 10/13 from the groomer barn north to the connect with Conover trail 3
  • Trail 10W/13N the Wisconsin River Bridge heading west
  • Trail 10W & 7S to the connect with the Sayner & St. Germain area
  • Trail 3N aka Manske Swamp
  • Uncle Kent club trail located off of Hwy G near Croker Rd

This is the adventure sledding part of the season.  Meaning when you ride you are going to find all sorts of conditions.  SNOW covered. Burn through.  Icy.  Mushy with even some water especially road crossing by midday.  As for road routes most are bare.  Under cover sections are shiny ice.  This is a time of the season that really requires that you slow down.  With the conditions on the trails changing quickly you can get into real trouble when riding.

If you want to ride a best bet might be trailer to locations that still have better snow.  East drop off the Cenex Station & head east on 10. North drop off in the Bauer’s Dam/Buckatabon area. Pick up the 13’s.

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked.  Stay by the orange reflective barrels.  Remember not all lakes are safe.  No markers means probably not safe

55mph nighttime speed limit.

THINK COLD!  KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!

Thinking might ride Thursday.  See ya on the trails!
