Riding in the woods fantastic

Great to be riding in March!  Today & tomorrow’s warm up will cause the SNOW to soften up. Riding along roads & open areas will burn down.  Woods riding has more SNOW & should be Good & even better.  SNOW moving in tonight.  Forecast is 4-6 inches but with the temps up I think it might be more like 3-4 inches.

Time to ride it when we got it!  Going out today riding.   Report tomorrow.

Groomers headed out last night heading north and south:

North – Full grooming
10W/13N to 17N intersection.  17N to 3N aka Manske Swamp. 3N west to 10W/13N connect. North to a left/west turn heading to Wisconsin River bridge all the way to the west intersection of 10W/13N.  North on 13N to the Bauers/Buckatabon area connect with Conover. And 10W/7 which is northwest to Sayner/St. Germain connect.  Also groomed was 10W/13N section from 17N intersection all the way up to new 10W/13N reroute across swamp.

10/13 heading through town & south on Alt 13S to Three Lakes connect.

With the number of accidents & fatalities this season remind you:

  • When you come upon a group of sleds in front of you on the trail.  Passing them can get you in trouble.   Have been seeing this all winter.  When an entire group passes, by the time the last sled passes, a sled could be coming from the other direction.
  • Remember as you ride & meet a groomer the equipment is NOT able to leave the trail due to it’s weight.  Pull over & stop.  Wait for direction from the driver.  Give ’em a thumbs up.  They groom so we can ride!
  • Please ride on the right side, slow down, limit alcohol & no off trail riding.

Eagle & Catfish Lake trails are still marked.  With the sun there is surface slush on the SNOW. If a lake is not marked it probably is not safe.
