Area Report:

Taconite Trail: Snow depth: 12-28”  Base: 1-4”  Groomed: yes  Condition: Good to Very Good  The entire Taconite Trail is in good to very good condition.  The trail has quite a bit of ungroomed snow on it right now, but it will be groomed again before the weekend.  Please stay to the right and use caution while riding.

Arrowhead Trail:  Snow depth: 14-26”  Base: 1-4”  Groomed: Yes  Condition: Very good to Excellent  The entire Arrowhead is groomed and in very good to excellent condition.  Due to groomer breakdown, the section from Crescent Bar to Elbow Lake was ungroomed for the last few days, but it is groomed as of Wednesday, February 21, and will be groomed again before the weekend.  Please be aware of and slow down for logging activity throughout the trail.

Putnum/Fishing Lakes Trail:  Base: 1-3”  Groomed: Yes  Condition: Good  The trail is groomed and in very good condition.  The snow over the weekend improved the trail conditions dramatically.

Soudan Underground Mine & Vermilion State Park Trails: Base: 1-4”  Groomed: Yes  Condition: Good  The Lake Vermilion Park trails are groomed and in very good condition.

Bear Head Lake State Park:  Base: 1-3”  Groomed: Yes  Condition: Very good
