Area Report:
Hello Riders! Again, a good 5” fell through the night in most of the county. This is great news! There are a few groomers out panning, trail 9 from Twin Lakes Tap to 3/5 towards both Lost Land Lake Lodge and Moose Lake is being groomed now. Again they are panning with caution and many groomers are not out because even though the snow is great it is is fluffy and what is really needed is snowmobiles riding on vs groomers to help back down that fluffy snow and create a nice base. So we invite all riders to ride the trails and help pack down! Also several trails lead to lakes that are not safe yet so those groomers will not groom a trail to a dead end. But you can find many great trails that lead to areas not on lakes or to the lakes that are staked. Those again are:
Lost Land Lake
Chippewa Flowage
Little Round
Osprey
Nelson Lake
All other lakes are not safe enough to stake so please do not go on them! And the lakes that are staked be sure to stick to the marked trail for your safety.
We are moving into our 2021 riding season!! Ride safe and have fun!!
Also remember to watch for those Sawyer County Snowmobile Friendly signs and take a selfie and share with us and Hayward Lakes VCB for a chance to win $$! Snap a selfie and post #sledsawyer2020
