Hello Riders!

Earlier this week we received about 3-5″ of fresh snow. The groomers have been out all week and the trails are excellent!

The American Birkebeiner is this weekend with events starting on Wed-Saturday. This is a tremendous race filled with amazing athletes! If you get a chance to watch this race it’s a pretty cool sight! The finish line is on Main St in Hayward on Saturday. The trails in Hayward such as 31 and 63 on Railroad St is closed until Sunday as is Lake Hayward so when planning your ride and if you need to ride to town please check out the trail map and map out your ride around these areas through Sunday. The race does go through the Seeley Hills and there are snowmobile trails that do cross the Birkie trails and vice versa, these trails are not closed but you may experience some delays as racers are coming through. Please be patient as these athletes have trained long and hard and are working on a timed race and we as riders are just here to kick back, enjoy the trails and get away from the demands of daily lives and schedules so if you are delayed take in this cool race as they ski by and cheer them on!

Have a great and safe weekend!
