Hello Riders!

We had quite a bit of riders this weekend, wow to be able to say we are still riding just 3 days shy of the first day of Spring! The temps will be warmer this week. We have lost quite a bit of snow but still have a lot left, especially in the woods. Most grooming has concluded for the season. The trails are still OPEN and most certainly still ride-able. There will be bare spots in the open and in some low spots there will be standing water. The woods will be the best find. So for any of you die-hards that are looking there is still riding to be had for now, but that may change quickly this week.

We want to thank all of the club members, volunteers and especially the GROOMERS for an amazing year!! We had a slow start but quickly caught up and are going out with a bang! Your dedication and hard work is appreciated beyond words! THANK YOU!! And to all of our riders, we are so thankful to have you bring your passion and excitement to Sawyer County! We love that we get to be here and be a part of such a great sport filled with such great people! Thank you! We look forward to snowmobile season 2020!

With the end of winter around the corner that doesn’t mean it’s the end of fun, it just brings the next season of it! Sawyer County has hundreds of miles of ATV/UTV trails and many new trails were added last year. There will be a spring closure soon; Chequamegon National Forest will close their trails soon until approximately May 1st and the county forest will also close towards the end of March (no date yet) until early May as well as the ground thaws and dries out. We will update as the weather and spring progresses. In the meantime make a plan to come up and ride your ATV’s or side by sides or rent! Many of the snowmobile trails you ride are shared trails so you may have seen those trails in the winter and those trails look so different in the spring! They are beautiful!! So get ready to ride!

Thank you again for the great season!!
