Trail Report: Keweenaw Peninsula / Houghton-Hancock, South Range, Copper Harbor, Michigan – February 26, 2017

Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 24" and up
Date of Report: February 26, 2017
Area Report:

With the recent snow, our trails are back to good conditions and being groomed daily.  Temps have been great for riding.  You can ride from the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula and even go to Lake Gogebic.  It looked like the riding season was going to be ending, but for those of us that live here, we knew that wouldn’t happen!  Snow is forecasted throughout the week, 2 inches here, 3 inches there, enough to keep the trails fresh and ready.  Trail #122 between Lake Linden and Gay is closed due to logging.  Do Not Use It!!  You can take the trail up to the Dreamland trail so that you can get out there, but no farther.  Trail #133 between Gay and Lac Labelle is a little rough, so use with caution.  There still may be some wet spots, so be careful where you are riding.

Stay off all ice, respect others on the trail and private property, slow down and save the drinking for after the riding!

Happy Trail from the Trail Goddess!
