Trail Report – : Rhinelander, Wisconsin – March 13, 2019

Reporter:Hodag SnoTrails
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: Still over 2' on the ground
Date of Report: March 13, 2019
Area Report:

The conditions are being moved from excellent to good just for the fact we haven’t been able to groom nightly with the warm temps, in addition to the condition of the lakes (could be slushy).

The overall trail base hasn’t been hurt in our area with the warm-up.  We haven’t seen much for snowmobile traffic during the warm-up.  As a result, the trail base is still very good.  The corners could become icy if the run-off freezes this weekend.

I haven’t heard anything regarding lake conditions.  There is plenty of ice, they just could be starting to slush up with the rain and melting snow base.

Be aware, trail crossings, road crossing intersection berms are still quite high that can affect sight lines.  Drive cautiously when approaching and traveling through them.

Season is coming to a close, time to get out and ride before the fun ends.
