Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: good base
Date of Report: March 18, 2026
Area Report:
We received a good amount of fresh snow over the weekend. As a result, Oneida county trails were able to be re-opened as of Tuesday. Hodag Sno-Trails has been out packing and grooming to get the trails back into shape. The large amount of snow requires multiple passes to form the strong, firm bases to hold up to normal sled traffic.
This is late season riding. All lake markers have been removed from Hodag Sno-Trails lake crossings. Current conditions are plenty of ice, but slush is beginning to form on the shorelines. Cross at your own risk. The recommendation would be to avoid lakes if possible. Trails that meet lakes, may not be groomed
With the warm-up prior to the snow, there is overflow in some of the swamps. The water is not deep, but it is something to be aware of. Road routes will show pavement quickly this time of the year.
All that said, this is bonus time. Take the opportunity to get the last rides in for the season.
The wooded trails are good to excellent.
Let’s finish the season with some fun and be safe!!
