Your Online Trail and Travel Guide for Snowmobiling the U.S. & Canada

Trail Report: Sayner, Wisconsin – January 25, 2017

Trail Conditions: Poor
Snow Cover: 0 to 2 inches average on the trail
Date of Report: January 25, 2017
Area Report:

The melt down that began almost a week ago continued longer than was originally forecasted. There is still a good base away from towns and  concentrated traffic areas. However getting there is impossible without going through a lot of brown mushy junk.

The bad news/good news is that the latest system that was supposed to hit our area looks to be going well south. We are now only supposed to see perhaps an inch +/-. The good news is that the temps are supposed to drop later today and stay below freezing for a while.

We are out today with the groomers to make sure our base is flat for when the temps drop later. We also hope the weathermen are wrong and we get more snow than is forecasted.

The areas where we have logging going on are especially torn up. It will take at least a few inches to bring those areas back to at least decent again.

Lets be careful out there!!!
