Trail Conditions: Closed
Snow Cover: 10+"
Date of Report: December 12, 2025
Area Report:
The recent winter storm events resulted in approximately 10+ inches of snow across Washburn County. Unfortunately, these storms included heavy rain and mixed precipitation that resulted in extensive tree damage and impassible trail networks. County staff and volunteer clubs are working to clear down trees and overhanging limbs for the foreseeable future. Washburn County cannot open winter trail systems until trail sections are cleared. In addition, there will not be any open winter trail system while muzzleloader or firearm deer seasons are open. County staff will evaluate trail clearing progress and grooming efforts after the close of hunting seasons on December 14. County staff request that enthusiasts do not complicate clearing efforts by attempting to use our trails before they are officially open.
