Trail Conditions: Closed
Snow Cover: 9-12 Inch Base (Not Groomed)
Date of Report: December 15, 2025
Area Report:
Trail clearing efforts are still underway by county staff and volunteer clubs after the end of November heavy snowfall. The snow storm events resulted in approximately 10+ inches of snow across Washburn County. Unfortunately, these storms included heavy rain and mixed precipitation that resulted in extensive tree damage and impassible trail networks. After clearing efforts have been completed, the initial base pack down will begin in preparation for grooming efforts. However at this time, trails will continue to remain closed. Washburn County cannot open winter trail systems until trail sections are cleared. County staff request that enthusiasts do not complicate clearing efforts by attempting to use our trails before they are officially open.
