Reporter:Matt Winters
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 4-6"
Date of Report: January 31, 2019
Area Report:

The bitter cold holds on for another day or 2 here & temps will then begin to moderate into Saturday with temps back up into the 30’s above zero. Groomers will be back out now with the cold leaving. Trails are in good shape with low traffic this past week & the couple inches of snow we got Monday did wonders for filling in some rough swampy areas & other problem areas will make for some good riding conditions this weekend. Corners & hills are very icy & lakes may be rough & drifted in areas so maintain reasonable speeds while crossing the lakes & stay close to the orange barrels while crossing. Remember all road crossings& intersections are marked with 3 digit emergency numbers for your safety & to pinpoint your exact location. Their was another snowmobile fatality this past week in Oneida County. This was the 4th in our county out of the 9 so far this season so please slow down & obey nighttime speed limits of 55 m.p.h & limit drinking & driving. We want everyone to come back to enjoy the great trails! United we trail divided we fail!!
