*Please note – The Saunders Grade Trail will be closed for the entire 2018/2019 winter season due to significant damage caused by June 2018 flooding.*

It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property, so please verify that the trail you intend to use is open at this time.

SW Quadrant

Trails are in good condition!  Trail 9 is closed between the Town Road TT and the North Road.  Watch for signs on Trail 5 at the Beaver Brook crossing for reroute around an ice issue.

SE Quadrant

All trails are open and are in great shape! Most trails are scheduled for grooming before the weekend.  Watch for logging operations on Trail 41N, Trail 541 and Trail 17S. Trails are in great condition, have fun and ride carefully!

*Please note – The CN Railroad is warning snowmobilers to stay off railroad property in Solon Springs. There is a new trail to Solon Springs (Trail 27B).  Where the trail meets Business Highway 53, snowmobilers must use the road shoulders and not the railroad property to access the railroad crossing on Main Street.  Snowmobilers have and will continue to be ticketed for operating on the railroad’s property.*

NE Quadrant

Please watch for low hanging brush and limbs.  

All trails are open and have been groomed since the weekend. Conditions of the trails are very good to excellent. 

NW Quadrant

All trails are open except for Saunders Grade, which is closed for the season. All trails have been groomed or will be groomed by Wednesday.

Please note: The City of Superior will be hosting a winter triathlon on Sunday, March 3rd from 6:00 AM till 3:00 PM. During those times some of the Motorized and Ski trail sections will be closed in the Superior Municipal Forest. Motorized traffic will not be allowed on 42nd Street from Badger Drive to Albany Avenue or on the northern half of Billings Drive from 42nd Avenue to the northern Cross Town Trail intersection. Trail crossings over those mentioned sections of road will be closed which will result in no through traffic from the “Ski Shack parking lot” on 28th Street to the “Albany Avenue
Snowmobile parking lot”. Additionally, trail traffic will need to USE CAUTION on the Cross Town (East-West) trail section near highway 105 where the trail crosses Billings Drive. Extra event staff and racers will be using this section of the drive. Please respect any barricades and gates across these sections of trail to keep race traffic safe.

Douglas County Ski Trails

Douglas County Ski Trails – Parking lots and service roads have been plowed.  Trails were packed on Thursday due to drifting issues.  Trails were groomed and tracked on Friday and are in good condition.

Superior Municipal Forest – All trails will be groomed and tracked. It will be a beautiful weekend to ski! Trails are in excellent condition.

After Hours Ski Trail – All trails have been groomed and tracked.  Trails are in excellent condition. Happy skiing!

Pattison State Park – All trails are groomed and tracked. The trails are in excellent condition with 10 inches of base, 28 inches in the woods. Tracks are at full depth.  Excellent conditions! Vehicle admission is required.
