Trail Report – : Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin – January 5, 2022

Reporter:Phil

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Snow Cover: Looking Great

Date of Report: January 5, 2022

Area Report:

If you like winter this was a very good day! If not….you should not be reading this anyway. Received a solid 4-5 inches of snow so far and still coming down. wind is picking up and temps dropped from 22 earlier to 10 right now. Should generate some lake effect in Land O. People who I talked to who rode Frosty trails on Tuesday had all positive comments before the snow so things should be whiter now for sure. This is going to be a good weekend for riding the Top Trails at the Top of Wisconsin.

I will report tomorrow after I get a groomer report from Brian and Machelle from the bridge of Hornshoe1, or may go on patrol after I plow, but I am guessing we received 10″ here as of 2:30, and Matt is out plowing some of his accounts, and he is guessing over 12″ in spots. It is also still snowing casually. Either way, we are game on to groom! Mark

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 8 to 12 inches

Date of Report: January 5, 2022

Area Report:

Groomers have been grooming since last week where they can… we are suppose to get another 3 inches of snow today which will help on the trails. There are a couple of trails they are waiting on to groom because of the wet land… but it’s getting there.  I would think that by the middle of January it should be all frozen and all trails groomed at that point.

Trail #2 – groomed – Fair to Good condition

Trail # 16 – groomed – Fair to Good – some logging going on there

Trail #116 – groomed – Fair to Good – condition

Trail #107 – groomed – Good – condition

Trail #113 – groomed – Fair to Good condition

Trail #18 – groomed – Fair to Good condition

These are all the trail condition reports I have at this time.  Temps will remain low for the next couple of weeks and more snow is in the forecast for next week.  We will update as conditions change.  Safe trail riding to everyone.
