Boulder Junction Snowmobile Trail Report 1/18/2021

Unlike last weekend, sled traffic was up this weekend with 604 sleds going past our trail counter.

Over the weekend we groomed Trails 15N, 6E, 8W, and 2W. We are doing the best we can with the snow conditions we are dealing with.

We have received reports of riders going off trail on private property, but sled traffic on the airport spur has improved with the new markings.

Trails remain rideable, but you will encounter icy corners, some bare spots, and scattered snirty sections. Road trails remain good, but overall our trail system is rated as fair to poor. Our forecast calls for scattered lake effect snow the next couple of days with the next possible snow event coming next weekend.

If you are going to ride, please be careful, stay on the marked trails, and have a good time.

Trail advisory: If riding on the Boulder Junction airport spur trail, please stay on the edge of the runway parallel to the road in both directions. Damage has been done to the runway and if it continues, we could potentially lose access to this trail.
