Over night most of the Eagle River-Sno-Eagles trails were groomed.  TRAILS GROOMED ARE:

  • Trail 10/13 in town – South to 10E
  • Trail 10E & all spurs except 1S aka Grampa Grahm that begins at West Carpenter Lake Rd
  • Trail 10/13 in town – North grooming ALL of 13N, 10W, & 7N

Trails were in great shape early yesterday.

Trail is on the north side of Hwy 70.  Because sun all day it is showing burn through & dirt.
From 10E/13 intersection headed to town on “the grade”. The 1 mile to town is still VERY GOOD.
10/13 “the grade” through town was soft but covered with thin slushy snow.
Beyond Hwy G crossing the beginning section is SNOW covered with chop.  Early still GOOD. Continuing north trail sections in the open have burned through areas.
Adams Road section is barely covered & where it is, is very icy.
Back onto the trail all open areas & corners showing burning down.
Turned around at the Conover connect & did not cross WI River Bridge area.  Headed back the same way.
South on the grade to 10E & home. Loon Lake Rd to Bloom Rd all conditions from GOOD, FAIR.  About halfway thru there is a frozen pond area that is safe but getting slushy.
Coming out a Bloom Rd & taking road trails Pine Land is pretty bare.
Taylor Lake Rd icy with hard SNOW on the edge.
Back on 10E by the Sports Arena SNOW covered all the way home.  70E hwy bridge by Boat Sport has little or no cover but heading east SNOW covered right after crossing.  There are sections that has rolled back SNOW from hwy plowing back banks. Grooming overnight has cleared up the snowbanks across the trails at road crossings.

Please stay on the trails.

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked with orange reflective barrels.  Deep surface slush on both lakes. Plus some ice fishing holes near the trail.
