Date of Report: January 29, 2018
Area Report:

The warm weather and a big snowmobile traffic weekend, put a big hurt on the trails.  To go from excellent conditions at the start of the week to “fair” in a week is staggering.  The groomers have been out on their regular runs, and double runs in some areas to get the trails back to flat as much as possible.

There are some “good” trail sections.  The forest roads are in good shape and have held up well.  The uneven terrain and/or swampy trail sections are in fair shape.  We are seeing evidence of icy corners and holes that can’t be completely cut or filled.

The ice base will help the trails stay rideable, but there could be some snirt in the high traffic areas.

All in all, we are still good, at least we can ride…..Let’s stay safe out there.
