Your Online Trail and Travel Guide for Snowmobiling the U.S. & Canada

Trail Report: Sayner, Wisconsin – January 4, 2017

Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 3 Inches Average On The Trail
Date of Report: January 4, 2017
Area Report:

The Barnstormer’s trail system averages on the good side right now. I would rate them as good to excellent where there is no logging going on. Only fair at best where there IS logging taking place.

Speaking of logging – it will most likely continue all season. Watch for logging ahead signs and obey the posted speed limits in those areas. DO NOT hassle or hinder the loggers. They DO have the option to shut down the section of trail where their operation is. The chances of finding a way around this time of year are slim and none. Be patient with the loggers and obey their signals or instructions. If you don’t want to wait to be able to go around – turn around and find another way to where you were going.

We received some wetter snow Monday night into Tuesday. The temps were in the lower 30s. The temp today has dropped to the single digits – a perfect scenario to help freeze down a better base.

Most area lakes have been marked. Stay by the markers when crossing!!!

Please ride safe! Ride SAFE so you can ride another day!!!
