Some Washburn County Snowmobile trails are opened as of 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5th. All snowmobile trails located south of Hwy 70 and east of Hwy 53 will remain closed. Trail conditions are considered fair, with a 2 to 4 inch ice and snow base. Trail conditions do vary and riders may encounter ice, rough trails, and some standing water conditions. Some trail segments may be ungroomed. Generally, trail conditions are better in the northern portions of the county. Keep thinking snow so we can get the other trails opened as well!
