*Please note – The Saunders Grade Trail will be closed for the entire 2018/2019 winter season due to significant damage caused by June 2018 flooding.*

It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property, so please verify that the trail you intend to use is open at this time.

SW Quadrant

All trails in the SW Quadrant are open at this time and will be groomed on 1/29/2019.

SE Quadrant

All trails are open at this time. Most trails are groomed and in good condition.  The base is icy in many areas, please use caution.  

The segment of trail 41n which was closed is now open and is in fair condition. Watch for signs delineating a newly developed route and please watch for logging activity. 

Trail 217, 17N are in good condition and will be groomed on 1/31/2019. 

Trail 17S is rough in spots due to lack of snow, but it is open.

NE Quadrant

Please watch for low hanging brush and limbs.  

All trails are open. Conditions vary from good to very good, even excellent in most places.  Trails are better to the north and thinner and icy to the south. 

All trails with the exception of Trail 635 have been groomed as of 1/29/2019. Due to extreme temperatures, we will probably suspend grooming for the rest of the week.

NW Quadrant

All trails are open and everything has been groomed or will be groomed on Friday 2/1/2019. Trails are in good condition with icy segments.  Please watch for brush and low hanging limbs.  

Douglas County Ski Trails
Douglas County Ski Trails – Parking lots and service roads are plowed.  Trails are groomed and tracked.  Conditions vary due to the amount of snow available to groom with. Trails are in fair condition with icy segments.

Superior Municipal Forest – All trails are groomed and tracked and are in good to excellent condition.

After Hours Ski Trail – Is reporting excellent conditions.  New snow has fallen and all trails have been groomed and tracked.

Pattison State Park – All trails are groomed and tracked. Equipment malfunctions led to less than full track development, but we have about 7-8 inches of ski base and 16 inches of snow in the woods and reporting good conditions.  Vehicle admission is required.
