EAGLE RIVER TRAILS
Remain CLOSED
Sno-Eagles trails and all of Vilas County Snowmobile Trails are CLOSED. 4-5 new inches of new SNOW from the Friday-Saturday storm. A little more east of Eagle River that looks to be some Lake Effect Snow (LES) Headed into the deep freeze for most of this week. Single digit highs and below zero at night
Yesterday Sno-Eagles was out packing and inspecting trails. Most wet areas are frozen with the except of the Wisconsin River bridge section of 10W/13N and the Manske Swamp trail 3 north or Eagle River. Panning and even some rolling will start soon.
Husband and I went out and packed
- Trail 10 heading west to Eagle River – All frozen
- Trail 10/13 heading west to the St. Germain Bo-Boen turn around – All frozen with exception of very small mushy spot
- Trail 13/17 that heads west and runs along side of Hwy 17S of Eagle River to the Sugar Camp connect – 2 very small mushy spots on the west side trail and 1 very small mushy spot on east side trail
- Trail 7 aka Paintball Field that runs west from 13/17 to County Hwy H – All frozen
- Trail 13/17 back to town – As reported above
- Trail 10/13 aka The Grade heading south to Trail 10E intersection – As reported
- Trail 10E back home – All frozen
There have been re routes and closures of trails. When trails are ready to open I will list the changes
No word yet on opening date. Stay tuned in the meantime
