Click here for a downloadable/printable map of open trails.

*Please note – The Saunders Grade Traill will be closed for the entire 2018/2019 winter season due to significant damage caused by June 2018 flooding.*

The Clubs are actively working on preparing all winter trails for opening.  The trails need to be inspected for safe frozen conditions in wet areas, removal of any deadfalls, and proper signage before opening.  Currently, all trails have limited snowfall, but ice is forming in wet areas which help with trail openings.

Currently, the Wild Rivers, Gandy Dancer, and Tri-County Corridor, trails are open for ATV/UTV traffic. Trails 217, and Trail 41 are also partially open for ATV/UTV traffic.

For further information, please contact the Douglas County Forestry Department at 715-378-2219 Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm excluding Holidays.

Slowly but surely the base in Washburn County is beginning to build with a little bit of snow here and there. Hopefully the flakes will start to fall again soon so the trail can get up to grooming standards. We look forward to another great winter of snowmobiling in Washburn County! Keep thinking snow!

Trail Report – : Mercer – Flowage Area, Wisconsin – December 12, 2018

Reporter:Dear Lodge

Trail Conditions: Early Season

Snow Cover: 5ish

Date of Report: December 12, 2018

Area Report:

The grade in Mercer is about the only trail in mercer that is in good shape, the other trails have not been groomed for riding but most are ride able, there will be wet spots. We need more snow and cold. Hurley reports they have 90 miles of trail in fair shape. Countries east. west and south of mercer have not opened their trails yet, waiting for the warm weather coming our way to go away, [ this could change ]  We are marking THE LAKE OF THE FALLS  this Friday & the FLOWAGE the next weekend. I will let you know when it is done. BE CAREFULL. you will see sled tracks out there, but there is still open water
